We have removed trials for most of our Junior players, to align with the New Zealand Football's guidance on forming teams and grading. Teams are now formed on a range of criteria players will provide upon registration to ensure they are in an appropriate holistic environment for the season. All you need to do is register for the season and fill out everything required. Once you have done this you will then hear from your relevant coordinator on your team placing and everything you need to know following registrations closing.
We do hold team forming sessions for our players in Grade 11 and above. These are typically in February each season.
Friend Requests – There is a section on the registration form where you can list up to three friend requests. Our Grade Coordinators will do their best to place your child with at least one of their friends.
As we have a large number of teams and many different requests, please understand that forming full teams based on friend groups is not always possible for a variety of reasons. Our Grade Coordinators are volunteers who do an amazing job putting all of our teams together, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
If you need to update your requests, you can edit your registration by following the link in your confirmation email. You are also welcome to contact the Grade Coordinators directly via email if needed - please just keep in mind that they are volunteers, and responses may be delayed.
Most teams from Grade 8 upwards will train once per week, this is usually determined by the coach/managers availability who will confirm this once the team has been announced. We also have a range of training programmes available on top of team trainings delivered by our staff, qualified coaches or senior players which can be found through our Development programmes.
